Focus rs (mk1)

  Z4
My mate has just bought one, he's only 19!

I was curious to what these map to? I know they're quick as standard, but surely a remap would make it a real weapon...

I'm going to have a little drive next week with any luck, may compare it to my cup (it will pish all over it mind!).
I was (still might be) going to get a tt and map that to around 270, lets see if this can convince me otherwise.

Final question, he's a member on here, what splitter is this? It's the sex.

Cheers pal, any more photos of said splitter? It really gives the front that extra agression needed imo.

He's keeping it pretty standard though, splitter, de tango the rear lights and a remap would do it probably :)

Using one of our custom maps you can see 265bhp on a std car.

with exhaust and air filter you can see 285-290bhp.

very caperble cars really.

Sorely tempted by one of these as a next car. Just not comfortable shelling out £10k for a car that's 7yrs old when I can get a much younger meg/focus ST for similar money

that would always be in my head too, and that's what I told him before buying it. Although I can see his point, this should hold its value very well, but I can't help but feel they will fall in value soon

They will fall, but nowhere near as fast as a Megane. Ford RS stuff just gets dearer and dearer. A mate of mine has just sold a completely standard Escort Cosworth with 120k on the clock for £14k.

50-70 RS 3.1/4.2/7.1 Mini Cooper 5.0/6.4/9.2 172 Cup 4.1/5.8/8.4 Impreza 4.0/5.7/9.0

70-90 RS 4.2/4.6/6.6 Mini Cooper 6.0/7.4/10.7 172 Cup ?/6.0/10.0 Impreza 6.3/6.9/10.2

3rd/4th/5th gear times.

they are nice cars but woundnt the ST170 focus be better to use in everyday situations?

ST170 is a pish car, it needs thrashin just to make it go anywhere.

Focus RS has a turbo so nice power throughout the rev range, fuel consumption shouldn't be too bad in STD form, might improve with a map.
