Focus RS

Yeah I've read that. Rumour has it that high octane petrol is needed for book figures? I don't know. It's certainly not slow :D

As i said to you almost 6 months ago now via PM, its rubbish.

Having driven one a few times, its possibly the worst car ever. Second only to a F355 i drove once.

Well you call pretty much everything s**t, Tom. So it can be hard to decipher when you are being serious, or when you are just being an intolerable t**t.

Really like it Roy, looks stunning in white, what kind of price are consumables on it like brakes and tyres?

Looks superb Roy. Lovely interior, proper RS looks and plenty of go. They have so much road presence. Shame about the cruise, i'd be pretty upset about that tbh.

Looks very nice. You reckon you'll get 25mpg plus after novelty wears off? That's more than a 200/197!

Tyres should be around £200 fitted. Brakes are no big deal as they're basically Ford SUV items. Discs are around £180 and pads will be no more expensive than any other car.

Does that make much difference in terms of ride comfort, being 35 profile? Uncles 3 series has 35 tyres and it's bloody uncomfortable (yes BMs are harsh anyway, but that can't help).

The low speed ride is very firm indeed, borderline uncomfortable at times, but the damping is excellent and the car feels so well nailed together that it's never crashy. At national speeds it's better than my Clio. It seems to glide over some surfaces near me where I know the bean was fidgety and rough. That said, the bean was on original dampers, albeit not leaking ones.

:rasp:

I imagine it turns a few heads? whats the cabin noise like when nailing it. i know it's slightly differnt but the 5 cylinter in our volvo sounds lovely from inside the cabin, i can only imagine the RS is sex.

Yes it does attract quite a bit of attention, which is a shame in some ways but certainly flatters the go a little bit.

The noise it makes is pure class. Chris Harris summed it up well by describing it as sounding expensive.

Just buy a car the missus dislikes, boys. Mine won't get in mine, let alone drive it as she hates the colour.

Good advice. My mrs would also be having words if I had a red car, Trophy next maybe

Roy that looks stunning, great upgrade.

the rear discs and pads are usual ford parts bin stuff but im 99% sure the front pads are just focus rs. i know it was a struggle getting some 2-3months back.

absolutly fantastic cars tho, few minor changes transform the way they drive and make them so much more fun
