Fog lamp bulb removal

Do you remove them by just twisting and pulling or do you have to take the full unit out?

Twist and pull mate, did mine y,day and converted them to sidelights.

Snipped the wires and put a sidelight converter onto it, so plugged some bright white sidelight bulbs into it and glued in place. Gives it the same look to having foglights only you dont blind people. Not to everyones taste but i think it looks quite good.
