Foglights- prosecution code thing

  Mondeo TXS Bardge.
i was done for having my fogs on £30 fixed penalty, but i cant find the ticket to get the code to put on my insurance quotes, it was comething like C-40 improper use of external lighting or something, but of the offences listed ther is nothing similar to what iwas charged with. any one else been done for this offence if so what was the code thing?

On a side note are the different offences treated differently byt he insurers, like my offence was minor, most would say i should have got a warning and let on my way, but am i tarred the same as some one with adunno an un road worthy car or speeding?

and how much is it likely to affect my premium?

it won't it doesn't give you points thta offence

you only need to worry about endorsable offences.

If it was just a fixed penalty (and no points) as seb says, you dont need to declare it to insurance. That would be like declaring every parking ticket you have.

interesting, i was just curioous because they speciificly ask any convictions, fixed penalties or pending procecutions. and iwa sthinking if i done mention it and it comes to light it'd void my insurance.

its ok mate as far as im aware you dont need to declare that one if it was just a £30 fine, you will prob find it isnt even on the drop down options list on the insurance website
