Footwell and boot led strip lights help!!!

Hi installing blue led strip lights in front footwells and wish to put them on the circuit for the dome light e.g comes on when doors are open or light is turned to on position, how can i do this? Is there a positive an negative wire for the dome light (centre roof light) or just a positive and i will ground it somewhere ? Want to get them done tomorrow any help is much appreciated! .

Ps, i switched out my boot light for an led strip and wired positive and negative to the 2 prongs for the stock light on the clip, now the strip only lights when a door is open and not the boot any ideas?
