forcing fonts in office apps

we want to force the use of arial 11 in word and arial 10 in email

whats the best way to do this people ? versions of office in use are 2000, xp, 2003 and 2007

thats my problem i can set it in normal.dot when i install office but then people can change it
i can copy down normal.dot in the login script at every boot up but then the users loose all their customizing for other things :(

I've no idea how you'd do it mate, still keep us updated because it may come in handy one day, especially the e-mail fonts.

I've not looked or tried this, but, would deleting all other fonts from the folder work?

You could try by temp moving them into another folder?

You would then end up with a problem when documents came in with another font though wouldn't you?

Exactly. Just display loads of those rectangle boxes. There could be a 3rd party program that allows you to lock down certain options in any Office app via a SG, in fact, there must be.

there bust be something but its finding the correct search term :(

seems enough people on the net want to do it though

I tried doing this, but not very successfully, will try and find the notes.

Let's talk about word for instance.

Every word application, has a default template, which is stored locally on each PC. What some people do, is create a default template, store it on a server, then modify all those clients to reference to that template on the server.

Needs to be an easier way though.
