Then i met up with some of my mates. sorry for poor pic quality..only mods on the s14a are the wheels, 40mm drop and full exhaust system, and boost controller as the lad is only 19  lol.

yeh 17's mate. TBH i cant feel the difference between 17" and 16" ( had both). the only thing i have noticed is a slight difference in acceleration from standard 15", but apart from that no problems at all with throwing it around corners. i think 17's and a 40mm drop look better than 16's as they fill the arch more. its only a 1.2 anyway so i have gone more along the looks side of things. if it was a smaller car like a 106 gti or something, then i would understand how 17" may affect the handling. iam sure others will be along to give a better answer than me lol

I agree with you on the look, I think Clio's look much better on 17's with a drop. Don't know if they would make much difference on a 172/182 with regards to power and handling tho...?

Haz - yeh i fitted them myself and sprayed them along with the bump strips on the doors. i just need to spray the rest now. they are k-tec's sideskirts because i didnt want to change all the wings etc. i think it sets the car off well tbh.

Baz - yeh, sorry mate i havent ever driven a 172/ 182 before so i dont know. there must be a reason for 16" wheels on RS's though, so it must make a difference...?

yeh they look almost indentical to mine. £90 is probably what most body shops would charge though mate iirc

I had 17's on my old cup - utter shite for handling IMO!

I'll keep that in mind....will stick with the 16's I think! Just need to choose some new shoes....HELP, too much choice.

Clio looks tidy, I quite like those wheels, love the lupo obviously, I don't like that Jap contraption, looks waff.
