Front end refresh checklist, any ideas?

Car  BG 182
as of late the 182 is handling like a warm brie with tomatoes for wheels, steering and turn in feels..... flacid!

i think the dampers are okay, they still feel firm on compressions and there they dont make the car do the riverdance in corners.

so:

new wishbones (heard something about needing kangoo ones for the 182!?) not sure. i have powerflex wishbone bushes on order so might press them in also?
track rod ends
steering rack bushes

have i missed anything?

i want to make this reasonably economical to do, i only really want to replace perishable parts.
any suggestions/ advice on how to tighten the car up would be greatly appreciated :)

Ball joints and arb bushes will make a huge difference. Track rod arms to but they can be a nightmare to change(access is limited to say the least lol)

i agree, i cant really afford new shocks atm but i will keep in mind now :) and the tyres are good, 4mm of exalto on the back and new ps3's on the front.

whats your opinion on poly bushing? is it worthwhile doing or just stick to standard?

I polybushed my ARB yesterday and tbh it was a pain in the arse to do! don't get me wrong it feels loads better and for the price of polys to the price of standard items the polys are the best bet plus last longer.

music to my ears, the way i see it, if something is to be changed then it might as well be changed for something better if the price is similar. what about the wishbone bushes? worth pressing polys in them before fitting?

Poly bushes will make it a nice bit tighter than standard but if you do them all it will make the ride quite a bit stiffer. well worth doing tho will transform the handling. Solid top mounts are very good addition to although they are abit over priced imo.

Solid top mounts and a fully polybushed clio on british roads is a no no imo lol unless you have a spine made of steel..:D ideal for track though.

Wishbone bushes again are a good call providing they are fitted correctly and the sleeves are welded in.

^ Why change the rods unless they're damaged? I'd suggest just doing the TRE's first (easy and cheap job) and seeing how the OP gets on.

Motaquip ball joints (very good, IME) are about £10-12 each from eBay and are really easy to fit.

The newest Powerflex wishbone bushes don't need welding in so when ordering, make sure you're not getting old stock!
