front or back?

My cup now drives like a bag of s**t! basically when i got the car, it drove absolutley perfect, steering was straight didn't pull to the side, it was all spot on, car is lowered on coilovers and has been set up at demon tweaks, anyway, it was in need of a couple of front tyres, i had one given to me when i bought the car,( goodyear f1 gsd3 part worn ) so as i was skint after the car purchase, i found another tyre of the same type via ebay, when it arrived i put the 2 together and they are different tread patterns? is one an old version?

Anyway i went ahead and had them fitted, first off, both my front wheels have been damaged after not long being refurbed before i bought the car  , one wheel has rim damage and the other has been damaged aroung the centre, obviously some f**kwit, did not realise the wheels where immaculate and steamed in with his tools, so this pissed me right off! and since having these tyres fitted the car feels very unsafe and pulls the side like mad, not happy!

So, i have decided to purchase a couple of new tyres to rectify this, i want to go upto 205's, but my current tyres are 195's, so should i put the 205's on the front or rear? i am thinking rear, the other 2 will be replaced after xmas with matching tyres, hankooks :)

i am amazed at how the different the car is now, all from having different tread patterns on the 2 front tyres, or could they have fucked something else up?

cheers in advance

ha! i knew that would come lol, cant afford at the minute, i know that would be the best bet, but i'd like to have it driving properly again, so figure 2 new tyres now and 2 soon after will be better than the way it drives now, especially as its winter

are your rear tyres the same yeah ? buy two more of them and put them on the front ? theyll all be the same then, all be it they will be worn different

Why would you even consider putting two different tyres on the front of your car? That's insane....

But put the new ones on the front, definitely. It's not so important if front/rear match, it's left/right that needs to be correct.

like i said, i didn't realise they where different when i ordered the second one, until it had arrived, by then, i needed the tyres putting on, as they were getting very low, so i went ahead, i did not have the money to shell out on 2 new tyres then, i'm sure i have read you are supposed to put new tyres on the rear?

can we safely say that having odd tread patterns up front is whats making the car drive like a floating terd?

GSD3's suck. never got on with them and the older they are the worse they are.

Been impressed with the v12 evo's in the snow! they're on the missus' corsa and are doing her proud :)

I'd personally keep it on 195's mate, they tend to tramline more, and "chew" on full lock.. Might also get a slight bit of rubbage on lock to with 205's. Do miss that car. Damn :(

4 x 205/45/16 hankook rs2's fitted today, only drove it home a couple of miles, but as far as i can tell its drives spot on again and cant feel any rubbing as of yet, will have to have a proper examination when i get chance, car will be getting lowered a touch more soon, so will be interesting to see if there is any rubbing then, so overall chuffed as f*ck! :)
