fuel / acceleration

hi, mines a 1.2 16v dynamique.

is it true, that if u run the car untill the tank is just about empty, it sucks all sh*t n stuff thru the injectors, etc. thus effecting perfonamance.

cos i ran mine till empty (very almost), and since filling up again, the car seems a lot slower. it seems to have lost power, especially in 2nd, and the car seems to dra thru the gearsm and tends to feel a lot more sluggish.

whats going on?

you cna pick up crud in teh tank and have it partially block the fuel filter, but it wont make it to the injector...

will this eventually go away, or do i need a new filter?

itll depend how clogged it is, but you cant tell unless you change it.

I suggest changing the filter, its not as if theyre expensive, and they often get missed on services when they should get done. Whats your milage? i think they should get changed about every 20k anyway.

Like Ben says its probably blocked the fuel filter, crud shouldnt be able to make it to the injectors or there is something wrong.

The lack of acceleration could be down to the fact you are carrying alot more weight around with a full tank as well... Sucking eggs and the like.
