some of the newer models have a lifetime filter incorparated in the sender unit.if it has a changeable one it will be clipped to the underside of the tank at the front.
Well After my hunt for my fuel filter i have coem to the conclusion renualt do NOT know how they even build their own cars!
Ive been tracing mine since i got mmy car .
SOME have a filter which can be replaced if so it will be by the fuel tank just after the rear wheels.
For SOME models they have a built in filter inside the sender unit whihc only need to be changed at 72.000 miles or earlier if the car start causing problems.
Renault checked my chasis number on their computer and said i have a replacable one but i cudnt find it and neither cud they (that was 2 garages) !!
and i rang renault UK who got a tech guy from france to ring me bak and he also said on my production batch it was on the outside!
but sadly its not their, adn they said someone must have stolen/broke it!!! yer
petrol reprogramming perhaps? visit your dealer to see if your ecu software can be reprogrammed.there is loads of renault tech notes where the repair is to reprogramme petrol injection.
ok me being a bit tired getting the wrong end of the stick-sorry,i know you hate your dealer but reprogramming does sort out the majority of running problems on the 1.2.give it a try it wont cost you anything because warranty will cover it.
