Fuel filter PH1

  53 Clio's & counting
Now i have read my new service book, the PH2 fuel filter change is listed as 144k as we know, but the PH1 has this written:

fuel filter change every 36k(4)

down at the bottom (4) = inline fuel filter replace every 90k

can anyone please shed some light on this for me? i thought we only have one fuel filter, though as its written above it could be taken we have 2, and as im on 129k mine is over due?

If thats the case mine would be overdue as well. Ive got one clipped onto the side of the fuel tank and assumed that the only one?

Bit more research and have been told not to worry about the one in the tank, but in one by the side of the tank is due every 36k on the PH1, so mines about 40k overdue lol job for tomorrow

Yup Renault lol under a tenner.

I have just got a new service book (cheers Paul!) as iv used up all the stamps in my old one, and havingf a quick read through i came across it, i can only assume its an update, as im sure it doesn't say it in my original service book.

Not suprised though, VW change whats needed in their service scedules every 5 mins lol

Renault in Basingstoke just charged me £18 for a fuel filter and £22 for a throttle cable! When I moaned about the price he said Renault have just ramped most of the parts prices up

Yeah was a tad expensive but it took me 20 minutes to get there and I didn't want to leave empty handed! I just wont be using them again.

Just going to go do mine now had a peak under the car and the filter has a underbody coating on it so I think it may be the original and therefore 54k overdue!

The filter has 4 buttons, two red one side, two green the other, use something put push one button in on one side and use your finger on the other, as i tried pushing the buttons in with my fingers but couldn't as they were a bit weathered lol
