Fuel light

I had a little search but couldn't really find anything..

I have been having an issue with my fuel light on the dash. It comes on when I still have a 1/4 tank of fuel.. Today it came on with just under 1/4 tank and 96 miles remaining on the display.

I went in to the hidden display and it showed 14L left in the tank.

Its not a major issue as I just fill it up but I just wondered if it was an easy fix as its pretty annoying.

Any help appreciated.

How do you get into the 'hidden' display ? and thats a little early my clio light doesnt ever come on, it did once when i collected it , but i think its normally when you have less than 35 miles which i dont run that low ! definitely not 96 miles , maybe a sender fault ?

Hold button in right stalk when you turn ignition on. Do not start car.

Then scroll through using the button.

I'm thinking its a sender fault too.. I filled the car up today and the light went out. Have around 500 miles to do over the Xmas period so I will see if it comes back on again.
