Fuel power kit

  Clio 182, OctaviaVRS

Just found this - but does anyone know what they are, where they go etc? Heres the description:

These kits consist of a JR Element and a performance petrol pressure regulator.

The regulator is fitted in place of the original, very simple, very quick. When fitted the regulator will increase the petrol pressure to the injectors (e.g. from 2.2 bars to 3.5 bars). The result is better atomisation of the petrol in the cylinders.

It sounds like a power boost valve. ie an FSE power boost valve. Some people say thay do something, so say it does jack. I think i will get one, just for the sake of it.

Ekotech say that there product compliments the FSE power boost very well. So if you got one, get the other.

AFAIK, JR arent exactly rated in the world of filter elements. Its basically the same as Green and K&N.

A PBV is just a stupid go faster name for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, whichi does nothing to effect the atomisation of fuel. An ecotek does effect this however.

BTW because the PBV is adjustable its actually useful once you go further with engine mods. A fixed pressure regulator running a higher pressure is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard on an factory ECU controlled car.
