Fuel Tank Change (Weight Maybe)

Got a problem with the fuel tank and will need it changin soon.

1. how much is one new from Renault for a MK1?

2. how easy is it to do?

3. Any one fancy lending me a hand or know someone will do it cheap?

speak to infinicar, mat brown or local reno breakers to get a replacement

easy enough, just got to unplumb urs and replumb new un

ur a little far from me, but there might be someone local wiling to do a little work?????

obviously there is filler neck diffs on 16v and willy because of the reserve tank.

but the main tank might be exactley the same.

just empty it before u start removing it (if u do it urself)

theres a split at the top so ne more than £10 is starts leavin a puddle!

could be jus a hose at the top i was told but dont wanna take chances and lowest quote ive found for a change over was £85 which i would rather do it myself

jus a case of gettin under the car and unbolting it as u said, might av to get a haynes manual out

could always get one like urs

teh 16v tank is a few litres larger than the 1.4/1.2 tank, only sommet liek 3lt bigger, presume willy is same as 16v

but dont get confused with main tank capacities and the extra reserve tank a 16v/ willy has

no idea how much this will help you but it shows you all the connections the tank (part 1 on the drawing) is £200 from Renault so its not even worth trying them (part number is 77 00 846 726 FUEL TANK £199.98 ex vat)

You sure the extra reserve tank on a Williams is that big?

My light came on.. and 30miles later, it was stopped.. not going anywhere.

most of the reserve tank fuel pumps stop working

but when the light comes on, u can hear the reserve fuel pump pushing the fuel into the main tank (if its working that is) last about 10 secs

Think that is only on the early clios, the willys seem to just have it coming through constantly.
