Full Fat 172 prices

I'm looking at moving up from my 172 to the new Type R. The dealer has offered £5500 for my pride and joy. Is it me or is he having a laugh? I would have expected about £6000 at least.

2003 53 Full fat Red
36000 miles
Ex condition
K Tech Stealth exhaust

What do you think guys...should I tell the guy where to get off?

Every trader offered me £5500 for my 2002 Full Fat, SO I would hang out for £6000 for yours!
But for another £500 would you want the hassle of selling it? I wouldn't!

Filling in the paperwork monday for the Type R. Looks like a factory order so i'll have untill June to find a new owner. I can't sell it before then or i'll have to run my business from a push bike!!

DanUK - I've never sold one private so £500 for the hassle might be worth considering! As Rich_16v said, it's a sought after colour so I hope it won't be short of interest though.

Mines a 53 with Cruise, CD and 31k on the clock and I wouldn't let it go for any less than £6500.

I was thinking of trading my 06 55 plate FF182 with 14k on the clock in for the Meggy 230 R26, so I contacted bymynewcar on t'internet and a chap there called Adrian said that a 05 plate 182 with 30k on the clock was worth £6500!! wtf!! they'll be giving 182's away with cornflakes this time next year!
