My lad's clio 1.2 2002 is due an mot, and it turns out the air bag light has been on for a couple of weeks!
I have a cd with electrical diagrams and ordered a diag scanner through ebay, but the seller is messing me around, so attacked the plug for the airbag ecu with a muilti meter and the wiring diagram.
I'd already checked al the wiring under the seats, but checked the wiring up to the ecu.
Turns out a side impact sensor has gone almost short circuit (4 ohms) and fitted a sensor off my 182 that proved where the fault was.
Ironically, the sunroof is leaking on the floor near the sensor.
Woth bearing in mind as the under seat wiring normally gets the blame!
