G-techniq Interior Protection Detail - RB200

As I had a large G-techniq delivery on Saturday, I thought I'd have a play with it on the interior of the 200.

No pictures of before, but the interior was like an operating theatre anyway so there wouldn't have been anything to show.


The products used:

AF Spritz and C6 on the dash, clocks and centre console.

AF Hide and L1 on all leather.

Vacuum and I1 on all fabrics and upholstery.

Apologies for poor pictures, but I'm impressed with the ease of use with the G-techniq stuff for application and Auto Finesse is definitely my go-to brand interior products!

Lewis, I used around half the bottle, but that covered the headlining, front and back seats and carpets.

What does this stuff actually do to the interior?
Make it waterproof/stainproof?

Yep, coats the individual fibres to protect them. I tried it on a tissue, submerged it in water and it didn't absorb anything.

Silver interior vents surround? Did you change them?

My interior needs cleaning.

Yeah seems strange with the silver vents. Mine are the same colour as the centre console. I see you also have a saggy glove box.

Mine vents are black aswell. I guess silver would probably clash with my yellow dash trim. Lol

Love those seats, out of interest what did you find to use the AF Hide on other than the gearknob perhaps?

Steering wheel and the dash is actually soft touch leather, but it had been done recently so Spritz was fine for the job.

Out of interest, how did you apply I1? I just sprayed it onand left it to dry, I don't have the guts to splash some water on them though!

I sprayed it on quite liberally to make sure everything was evenly covered.

The funny thing is that if you miss a tiny patch, you may as well of not bothered because the liquid or dirt will soak into that place!

I bought a G-techniq kit called the TSP complete Kit from the G-techniq website, and the Auto Finesse products were from Cleanyourcar.co.uk.
