Yeah the Logitech G25 is regarded as one of the best wheels and can be played on both PC and PS3 (not Xbox 360 though!) I don't know if it can be bought new anymore, otherwise the new version is the G27:
You'd be hard-pressed to get the G25 now m8. The G27 replaced it with few extra features, but had a huge 80% or so hike in price over the G25. This has meant that even some eBay G25's are quite a bit more than mine when I bought it new.
It is an epic wheel though and as Gareth says - it runs on either the PC or the PS3. If you like your racing games (which thinking about it, I haven't seen you on Race '07 much recently! ) - then its definitely worth the investment.
The other established make is Fanatec. I believe Lee on here has had first hand experience of them and rates them very highly indeed.
very true mate havent been on it much at all. Needing to get it all reinstalled on my laptop. IM offshore just now so will need ti wait until im home, then again maybe just get a decent desktop to run my pc driving sim games instead of my laptop.
Thinking the x360 will be getting sold though, cant see me going near it with F12010 and GT5 coming out. Need to fund a new tv and break my driving wheel virginity lol
The Fanatec will set you back about 420 Euros for the same bits that you get with the G25 so quite a premium over it. It would be the GT3 RS Clubsport package you would want + shifter + table clamp for the full experience. You may not use the shifter but if your spending the money you might aswell get it Delivery would be September now though
They had one of those at the Nurburgring when I was there but wouldn't let me have a play for the seat and stand its 995 Euros and would equal a world of win
I personally have the G25 and I am still massively impressed. The prices on ebay are ridiculously high at the moment. I think I paid about £120 for mine about 12 months ago. Once you have bought the G25 you would then be tempted to email a guy that can make it in a fully working F1 style wheel for about a 500 euros.
