gear box jumping out of 2nd and clutch slipping

hi is there anyone who has this problem and had it fixed I would be very grateful if someone could help with this as I need to know how much it would roughly be to get repaired and also if anyone could recommend someone in the south-east thank you

i believe that means ya gear box is knackered, engine out jobby, dunno how much though

this happened in mine,now its jumping out of fifth.sometimes its just a bearing that goes on the mainshaft,one way of finding out if its a bearing or if your gearbox is rightly fu**ed is to drain of about a half cup full of gear oil,if its full of metal particles then your box is cooked,if its clear then youll probably get away with a syncromesh ring or a bearing.unfortunately for me my gear oil was the former,i have a reconditioned box on the way

Hi.
I had the same problem on my 172.
The gear had to be replaced, under waranty.
# of my friends with 172s allso had the same problem.
The milage on the cars on some was low and others high.
They all had the same problem, broken second gear synchro !
