Gear Knob Stuck!!

I got a mark one clio and i have no idea how to get the Gear Knob off, either im doing it wrong or its cemented on, any ideas how to get it off? cheers

use a hacksaw and cut it into bits if you cant twist it off.the knob is glued onto the shaft (with out sounding smutty)

my 1.2 mk 2 dynamique, was cemented on .... had t use eagle beak pliers to buthcher it off lol....what ever ya do use a cloth or leather glove or somet to grip the knob, or risk damaging it!...if it doesnt unscrew with alot of effort... then it may be glued onto a knurled shaft
