Gear Ratio Info Request!

  Octy vRS & Ninja 650
As a part of my HNC i'm currently studying, i'm writing a report on effects of lightening the flywheel in an engine set up, and how this effects the acceleration of the car, in comparrison to lighening the car in general.
I need to prove my statement by showing figures for each gear ratio in a selection of cars.

Now being a Clio ethusiast, I thought what better than my own car!

So has any one got some accurate info, and a source for gear ratios, pref for:

182, v6, normal, and diesel clios?

Thanks in advance, Mike

Ligthened flywheel only helps the engine spin up no more hp gain though.

I've got some gear ratios if you want though just want to check your after the right thing?

Yeah, I know it wont add Hp or any thing like that, the assignment is on camparing linear motion to angular motion, but you have to use a car flywheel compared to the weight of the chassis in differant gear ratios as an example.

Technicaly yeah, it wont create anymore power.

But it will allow a bit more power to get from the engine past the flywheel and onto the next component and thus giving you more power at the wheels.

Since the fly wheel doens't slip how do you get more power though it exactly?

In theory it kinda just means the engine can rev more freely, but it will be rough. And would probably miss the limiter and blow the engine.
But i'm not doing an assignment on that, just how the mass of the flywheel can be related to the total mass of the chassis. I can take a screen shot of the formula's etc if you really want...

So any gear ratios again please lol
