Gear stick gaitor

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Mine was broken when i bought it and never got the chance or the know how of changing it...

Basically the clips at the bottom have snapped off, so it is unable to clip back into place...

Does anyone know how to change it, or what other gaitors (aftermarket) ones fit..

any pictures?

Thx

Did u get them to fit it?... or u fitted it urself?

i fitted it myself it fits straight over and then clips in, im not a fan of all the aftermarket one's, wats the point in payin 20+£ for a gator that isnt in renault specific(universal) and will probs break after 6 weeks

Isit?.. think i'll get a geniune renault one....

How do i take off the old one?... obviously unscrew my gear knob
then what?

  Lionel Richie
nope, gear knob cannot be removed without damaging it

rip off the old one by pulling it up over the gear knob, its tied on at the top with a cable tie, just snip that and it'll come off

Richbrook gaitor is a bit more expensive, but it is real leather and colour coded. It's entirely up to you what you want to get.

i would prefer to get a silver one, but may look tacky!

but a standard one is good

When i buy the gaitor from reno, it comes with the securing tie thing ya?

Hi peeps, i saw the bit about damaging the gear knob to get it off,
im trying to get mine off and it aint having none of it, any suggestions?
Iv brought a aftermarket one as mine looks rubbish, but its just lying on the table, please help:S

Taking the standard gear knob off its very tricky!... u have to use all the elbow grease and muscle u have in ur arm/body!.... i used a screw driver to open up a gap in the inner side of the gear knob, and pulled and pulled! was very tricky!.. damaged the gear knob slightly, but not noticeable if i wanted to fit it back on :)
