Gearbox problem (ish) Help please

I set off from work last night, it went into first gear fine, i tried to take it out of first gear to roll down the slight hill out of the car park and the gearstick was really stiff and was hard to get out of first. I turned the engine off and back on and the gearstick was loose like normal, i drove it up the road and the gearbox (or something) was really noisy, i stopped to have a look to see if anything obvious was wrong but obviously couldn't see anything. I carried on and got to a 50 road and it really didn't like fifth gear so put it back into fourth, after that the car has run fine since, took it for a bit of a drive to see if the problem came back and drove it to work this morning and everything seems fine.

Has anyone got any idea what may have been the problem and may i still have one?
