gearbox sloppy and loose feeling

the amount of play in the shifter when in gear is too much, i can move it across the box so much and it feels so loose and old. I drove a mini cooper S the other day and just reminded me how loose mine feels. Is there a bushing you can replace or something?
car is a mk2 ph2 1.4 16v.

doesnt half wobble about a lot over bumps.....

mines too, i know where ma gears are tho so not a prob!
