gearbox?

driving to work and it popped out of gear just as i put it in. didnt think anything of it.

got to work and i notice the gearstick moving more than usuall (about a inch maybe more)

went out for lunch and its started wining in 2nd a bit and when going down the gears in grids a little in first?

whats happenigng im worried, do i need a new geabox or something?

also i was goin down motorway on sunday with a mate b hind and loads of sparks came out from underneath he said even pulled into hard shoulder to check after but didnt find or notice any difference.

please help!!!!

Sounds like bearings on main shaft / selector shaft / synchro problem

New box mate ( JB3 type )

If your car is a 2002 1.6 16v the gearbox code will be a JB3 979

Used box between £100 - £225 ..... fitting about £150

where would i get that done?
phone renualt and the theifs said £700 for the part,
phone anothe place and they said £450 for part
but £950 for fitting vat and everything else
