Previous owner has fitted a new gearknob (182) but it comes off really easily. Are they just glued on? Or should it clip in?

Gearknob loose

Glued onto a spline at the top of the gear stick.
Is it a standard knob hes fitted?
Maybe you might be tugging at the knob too vigorously?
