My gearlinkage decided to come loose this afternoon, just outside twickenham on a busy road, on the way to an important meeting, leaving me stranded with no gears. I managed to jack it up and manualy select 3rd, and limped all the way to vauxhall stinking of clutch. Somehow persuaded myself to attempt the return home to Basingstoke in rush hour but the clutch held and made it home.
Inspected it early and the bolt holding the selector rod to the (nylon?) bush/pivot was missing. Now what im not sure if is if there should be a spacer in there too. So does any one have a diagram or a picture of the loose parts?
