Genisis, MB Quart,

Firstly anyone not heard of any of the above?

Secondly anyone use any of the above or both?

Ive got both in my car consisting of, Genisis profile 5, (5ch amp) MB Quart 10" sub in sealed MB Quart box, MB Quart 6x9s on my autoacoustics stelth shelf and in the fron MB Quart 5.25 components, mids in doors and tweeters in the dash. All controlled by my Alpine 9812RB CD/MP3 player.

  williams 2 turbo

i had some mb quart in mine, lasted for around 40 minutes before i ripped them out and introduced to bin, worst sounding speakers ive ever owned. even the £400.00 hand made ones are crap. just my personal view though.

good brands, especially genesis, and mb quartz do some stunning top end gear, so sure their comps are fine. Only thing i will say on the 6by9 side of things is ppl hate them due to the sound stage that should ideally be created from the front, and rear speakers can mess this up a little. But if you are going to fit them in ya shelf make enclosures onto the shelf for them as the air from the sub that is being moved in the boot will damage the rear of the cone on the 6by9s.

hnmmm im sorry but cant see th point in having speakers behind you.... at the end of the day, if u were to go to a music concert you stand or sit and look at the band with them infront of you, and the sound travels from them to you from infront not behind....

you go to the cinema, they have speakers set up so the sound comes from the front mainly with a good amount from either side of you and a tiny amount from the rear so that affects such as say a helicopter that would fly from the front to the back will give that effect...

unless you are listening to effect tapes, or have a screen and 5.1 sound... i dont see the point in having rear speakers, i mean even your ears are angled more forwards then back, so there is not a huge amount of point to rear fill.... if your components are set up right then you dont need rear fill, and that doesnt count for subs... as the human ear cant tell where the sub sound levels are coming from...
