Gettin insured on a 172

Hi, Im hopin to get a 172 around october time. When i come to insure it ill be 19 and driving for 2 years (but got no ncb cause bin a named driver) hopin to start me own policy though. Anyone know if ill get insured on a 172 at 19 an roughly how much itll be. If not that im gna get a 1.6 16v Dynamique. ill get insured on that surely?

as a above for the 172, and probs the best part of 2k for the 1.6.

it was £1300 for me at 20 with 2 years experience for a 1.2, ona 1.4 is was quoted over £1500, and the 1.6 was about £1850, and a 172 was £2700 the cheapest i could get fully comp, because the cheapest company i found, insisited on mandatory to fully comp for cars over £5k

pm'd mate. well to be honest if they dont check ill just say 2 cause by october, which is when im gonna get it ill have been driving 2 years and been insured for 2 years. that should bring it down a bit more correct?? i cant understand the whole 1100 on a 182 though. I tried to get a quote from tesco and i got a "we are having a problem processing ur enquiry, please phone us" lol

i'm with bell now i'm 21 and have 1 ncb ime now about £650 on my 1.2, should be £500's next year. to be £1100 on a 182, must be garaged, and only insured for about 5k a year, witha 2k excess, either that or its fronted.
Lying about your NCB is grounds to void your insurance, and if you have a crash they will. and they do check you ncb BTW, they called me up when i had given them the wrong policy number for my policy with tesco when they checked my NCB, i had mixed upt he last couple of digits.

That sems like loads mate! Im 21 with no NCB and im paying £1325 with privilage. its fully comp with annual milage of 10K and 750 excess... I have my nan and mum on the policy... more quality named drivers is the key!

Thats class that. is that with any ncb??? well i like to think of my area as posh so hopefully its not too bad insurance wise lol.

Im waiting for bell to email me in the morning now. put me nan and me mum on the policy so hopefully wont be too crippling.

Yeah 2 years NCB with my folks as named drivers. Spend some time on the phone and not on the internet and i swear you will always be better off. But like i say depend where you live. If i were to insure it at my flat at uni it will go up by £270!! with exactly the same conditions!!! Have a look at the Insurance post code table on here somewhere. If you in group DEF then it surely will be far more expensive.
