Getting a 182 next April

Hi guys i am really thinking of getting a brand new 182 about April time next year. i was going to for for a 172 (spend about 7k) but i like the idea of warrenty and it being brand new!

the questions are:

when is the production going to stop? as i see the new clio is out now.

i am hoping to get one for a good deal like 12k with the cup packs ect - do you think that will be possible?

Production is nearly over I believe

"The Clio Renaultsport range will sadly finish production soon. As of today, if you're quick, we have just 41 Clio Renaultsport 182 and 16 Clio Renaultsport 182 Trophy and 3 Clio Renaultsport V6 255 remaining"

By then I reckon you will have missed out.

12K for a new one is quite possible though.

im also after a 182 about april time, although 2nd hand it will be! im looking for either Inferno, Liquid Yellow or Racing Blue

Does anyone have pics of any of these with the lighter of the 2 alloys, i.e. non anthracite ones? the only ones i see are people's who have got the cup suspension pack therefore they have the anthracite alloys, but i prefer the lighter ones!!

Looking at about £10,000, with than than 10,000 miles?

So if anyone is looking to sell about next april time, you have yourself a possible buyer!

cheers guys! oh well i will just get a 172 or 182 with very low miles. unfortunatly i can get one any sooner due to a few bits i need to clear up first! wont be too long though hopefully!!

Im in the same boat mate, Would love a trophy but ent got the £££ now, Hopefuly there will be some deals around with the MK3 sport coming out

Just get one a year old with low miles. Still get two year warrenty and save youself a packet (be about £9.5K).

Paul, i just bought a brand new uk spec 55 plater, Black/Gold 182 with both cup packs yesterday for 12k, ok it's classed as a used car as its been registered to the garage as a demo, but its only been driven 7 miles. The list price brand new would be around 15k...all it doesn't have is sat nav.

There are deals to be had if you look around i guess.

thats a good price. doubt they will have any left in april though. also if i to buy new i was hoping they would do a 0% finance deal. does anyone know hoe much you have to put down for then to do this? is it 30%

yea there will be some deals, but why not save a packet and get a 172. its been proven time and time again that the power outputs of 182/172`s vary so much there can be little or now differece. in fact one 182 owner on here had less stock power than another 172 owner (179 for the 172) (172 for the 182 !)

save yourself £3-4k and pick up a cherised 172 and then with spare cash spend £2000 to bring power/look of 172 beyond that of a 182, no doubt modding will be on the agenda for the newer 182 owners on here and you wont have any spare to do it if you spend it all on the intial outlay.

just think what £2000 will get you H&R, Full 182 look exhaust or discreet with gains, 182 manifold maybe, inlet manifold work, and induction + remap ! should see a genuine 190hp much moer than any stock current RS and juicy lbft gains. who knows you probably have enough spare to get some choise rims and or cup spoiler, splitter.. and have £1-£2000 spare for insurance and tax, fuel

all 172`s can achieve 182 performance with a carefull £1000 spent on them imo

There are only limited colours left though if you buy a new 182, is that right? Arctic Blue, Black and Silver i have heard...!

Might just stick with the original plan and get a well looked after low mileage 172. you seem to be able to pick these up for 7-7.5k then sort the susspension out and stick some turini's on it and it will be sorted! so many choices!! lol

to be honest i really havent decided. i would want liquid yellow but that costs more to start with. so not really decided.

if i were to get a 172 i would get the red colour or silver.
