Getting a better top end..

Can anyone recommend mods that would increase the cars top end - on any car??

Im just intrested as my top end is poor and not much happens in 5th gear - 4th gear tho can pull happily into the 90's (I know its a 1.2 but I really noticed it tonight)

More hp is the only thing get a bigger engine.

if your at 90 in 4th and 90 in 5th what RPM are you at?

90 in 4th is just over 5k revs, put it in 5th then it drops to about 4k, which I think the problem lays as it doesnt seem to pull well. All the other gears are perfect tho

thats 1.2's for you - same as me when i had a 1.2 corsa not much pull in 5th - youd be better off saving up to buy a bigger engined car rather than spending money on a small engined one IMO

Could it be me not having the complete exhaust system im after at the moment as I have a decat and 4-2-1 manifold but standard exhuast??

this a mk2?

My car doesn't pull well after 130mph if that makes you feel better.

No car pulls well in it's last 10% before max speed unless it's electronically limited (like some cars to 155mph). Don't waste your money. Save your pennies, wait a while and get a car with a bigger engine.

you not able to use a gearbox with a shorter 5th gear from another car? my 1.2 16v hits the limiter at about 95mph in 4th then go into 5th and it gets to 105mph quite easy then starts to crawl.
