Getting a PAC code from carphone warehouse.

Just been on the phone and they say I have to write in to get my pac code.

What a load of shite.

Anyone else had the same issue?

How quickly did you get it?

They have to give you the PAC code by law but dont think the law specifies whether thats a written one or over the phone... probably not much help to you!

They should give you it over the phone. What network re you with and i your contract just about to end?

cpw most likely will operate a written type request for a PAC code as they want your account to go to retentions to try and keep you before they issue the code

He wants a PAC code to port the number, not a PUK code to unblock his phone.



It is to do with the network you are on. Give them a call and they can sort you out.

I was with CPW on the o2 network and they said the same to me. I spoke to O2 IIRC and it was sorted there and then.

I requested mine was swapped over on O2 a while back. they said it would take a few days. Rang back after a week and they had no sign of me even requesting it! nobbers!

ended up keeping the new number, couldnt be arsed with it!

Well, this is the daft thing.

My old CPW contratct is with 02 and the new contract I have just taken out is also with 02.

I'll give 02 a ring and see if hey can transfer it to.... errrr.... themselves!
