Getting an Xbox, which games should I get?

As above really. Getting an Xbox this week so looking for heads up on what games are worth getting? Forza is a definate, but not too sure other than that!

What are the Halo games like BTW? Also I remember playing the first Gears of War on a friends Xbox when it first came out and being impressed, are all 3 worth picking up?

I would get Forza 4 and not bother with Horizon, unless arcade NFS style games are your thing. Others games I would get would be Halo 4, maybe Blackops 2, Fifa 13, GTA IV or wait for V and maybe Fallout 3 as it's the best game ever imo.

As has been said Battlefield 3 is a must along with Skyrim. Forza 4 and also Halflife Orange Box is worth a shout.

That's the one. I've never got past that bit, only ever got close a couple of times. RAGE!!

Half Life Orange Box - nothing else that will immerse you so much. Must have gone through the game 6 or 7 times now, still find it amazing. Pick it up for pence now as well.

I also vote for the Orange Box, awesome value for money. It's worth it for Portal alone. In fact, add Portal 2 to that list, too.

Half Life 2 is the best game made to date.

Although, they were made to be played on the PC... the proper way to play FPS's of course.
