getting camber and alignment adjusted

mainly looking for people on coilovers or lowered cars here for opinions here,my cars lowered about 60mm on coilovers and is going to the garage on monday to have camber adjustment bolts fitted and the alignment adjusted.
giving that the alingment hasn't been checked for 70k and their has even been a new rack fitted i know it will be out.and the camber will be out to but has anybody had these done either camber adjusted or alignment at the same time?

how much difference did it make?

how much different to grip in the wet did it make?

How much camber do the bolts give?

With camber the tyres will generate more slip (a tyre has to slip to generate grip) when cornering and cornering perfomance will be improved. By introducing camber straight line grip can be affected as there is less rubber on the road, you will probably notice this most in wet conditions. Adding camber also increases the cars tendency to tramline (follow the contours of the road)

As for what affect the alignment will have, it depends on if its out, and if so how much. If its quite a bit out the car could became a lot more stable and the turn in will be greatly affected.

Hope that answers some questions.

yeah helps quite a lot thanks, the bolts give 3 degrees of camber adjustment, not sure if it's 3 each way or 1.5 each way.
the car does tramline extremely badly if i bump up on a kerb it will nearly rip the steering wheel out my hand!in the wet for exampe on a roundabout it doesn't give much confidence, when you start putting on lock the front gives way and you can feel it's always the right wheel slipping.in the dry it grips well but is uncomposed the suspension just feels very unpredicatble.
the guy who i'm going to see has been highly recommended by a lot of people and i've been told instead of reseting the camber to factory spec he may be able to advise me on a better set up!

Toe in (when viewed from the top of the car, the front of the wheels point in) will increase the cars straightline and braking stability, but the cornering grip won't be as great. You could run with toe-out to aid initial turn in but i would not advise trying it on a road car as if you're not that experienced a driver the car has the potential to feel a bit of a handful.

I would say leave the camber as it is but get the alignment checked out. See how it feels then, if you still don't like then try less camber. IMO 3 degrees per side is a bit much for a road car and will be quite detrimental to tyre wear. Camber is usually measured as a value per side, but thats not to say you haven't been given a total value of 3 (1.5 per side, more suited to a road car).

I've got some bolts on mine there the Eisbech ones 9weel there amrketed under there name they don't actualy make them)

Anyway they advertise them as giving 1.75 degree different but there more like 2~2.1 difference I've run them on the maximum and there unuasable the driveshafts knock i need to reduce it to about 1.7 total I'd think to stop the knokcing plus my bearings are winning as its to much load on them.
