i bought some brembo disks and ferodo ds2500 pads ive had them on for 136 miles and they squeek very badly. it gets worse the more they are used

all i want to know is this set up known for squeeking? will it go away or should i re fit them? i know brakes sometimes squeek but this is loud and annoying!!!

Mine squeak on the drivers side, even with the anti squeal plates still in, it only happens at slow speeds and doesn't bother me that much.

Always get this when they are too tight in the caliper. Grind a bit more off so they are free in the caliper and plenty of copper slip on the back of the pads then they should be fine. I still have the shim in the caliper and grind the ends down.

Mine used to do it, fitted them as above never an issue..

all the one's i've done i've removed the stupid little plates, not had a problem

did he grease the back of the pads?

they're anti squeal plates (that don't work!), seriously, remove them, i've fitted over 20sets of DS2500's and i've done this on all of them = no squeal

what have you got to loose???

I can testify, Fred removed mine and I've never heard even a squeak. Going to give them a real test on Wednesday at Cadwell :)
