going over the milage

my car is due its 36k service now but the garage i use and trust cant get me in while next week but im away next week doing alot of driving so my question is will it do any damage getting the service done at say 38000 miles instead of 36???

In reality, the extra mileage shouldnt make one bit of difference. It is essentially only an oil change and the aux belt anyway. But who knows when the aux belt will go. Mine is on 43k now as im leaving it until 48k when I have my cambelt done.

Rob - Wouldn't worry too much mate, I know plenty of garages/dealerships that wouldn't/don't/don't know the proper RS service intervals that don't change the belt on 36k

hopefully i can keep the milage down and use gf car anyway i didnt think it would do any damage it will just annoy me i think the most ive been over before with any car is 4 miles ha ha

Your only allowed 1000 miles over the scheduled service intervals you could have major problems putting in any warranty claims

its out of warrenty as of last month anyway hopefully ill be able to keep it under 1000 over anyway

disconnect the spedo to keep the mileage down, if ur worried, probably out of warranty now anyway
