Going to view a RSI...

  ?
Heres the service history, should have had 7... seems to be after the 5th service the owner was changed because it doesnt look like they have bothered to do it? surely this isnt a "fSH"

What is "budjet" ?

  ?
Just contacted the seller. Apparently it is missing 2006 but he says it was serviced in 2007 and "budjet" is a local company (he stated before the previous owner was local, i guess i can verify this from the log book when i see it). He's saying he can go to the garage and get it stamped for me if I want and also get the details of what work was done (ie... CAMBELT?!).

Seems like the last owner didnt really treat it too well... not sure what to think of this.

Have a look at the receipts too. Doubt it will have been done though by the looks of it

I agree with Timmay though - hammer the price down by at least whatever the cost of the cambelt service is.

I'd walk, find another one. Thats never had a belt and the first service was at quikfit, f**k that!

  ?
Im waiting to see what he says from the garage. If they dont have a record of it / unsure if the cambelt would have been changed then im going to ask him to hammer the price down! (should i do this before i go up there or when im actually up there... as i may be more convincing with a wad of cash in my hand :D )

  ?
Think is, its really hard to find a decent low mileage RSI i think and im also getting rid of my car (i REALLY cant be assed with the hassle of selling it!)

I paid £2100 for mine back in december, needed belts doing, but had 172 kit on it. At the time it was a very good price, about £500-£700 cheaper than other sales, but now the price has dropped a fair wedge.

You really want one with the cambelt done.

And this is why I kept all the receipts / invoices for mine and whacked them in the envelope for the new guy. Stamps are fine but it doesn't really tell you much about what was done on the service.

Some owners are daft enough to think "it's just been serviced, it's up-to-date" and some are totally unaware of the cambelt milage and life span.
I know because I used to be one of those people you need proof of this work being done if he does do it / it was done at budget.

With a service history like that I wouldn't touch it. I remember a year ago when there was a bloke on here (Giles i think?) Couldn't shift his mint RSi for ages.

Yep it was Giles who had a mint rsi, it was up on miles though, but mint.

I too wouldn't entertain this one, too many neagative vibes with it. Sit tight till a nice one comes along.

  ?
Ok, think ive been put of this one... very much doubt ill still go to view it. Was planning to get the belts done anyway but ill think ill hang on for a nicer one to come up for sale (do they come up often?)

Wouldnt touch the blue one. AS much as I love the RSi in that colour, to me Lexarse lights and tints scream 'I've been ragged to within an inch of my life from cold'

  ?
The one with lexus and tints looks like it has lacquer peel on the front of the bonnet! :S

Think thats just the light angle, other pics looks fine? oh well will see in the flesh saturday!

Check to see whether the blue RSi has been shunted from the rear.
Non dealer plate and cheapo rear light clusters would send my alarm bells ringing.
