Evening. After moving into my house a few months ago and after sharing a car with the fiance for 15 months, I got on the hunt for a weekend car/2 mile round trip commute car. Didn’t want to spend much with an upcoming wedding blah blah blah.

Ended up settling on an ep3 for various reasons. Mainly as the seemed abit more reliable, abit better put together and easier to get power from.

Searched for ages and realised the values are abit of a joke, and then had some issues at work and at home which meaned i just binned the idea off and stuck with my van. Until one night I was coming home and one drove past my house in the spec i wanted and it looked really clean. By some random chance, ended up coming across that very guy on a csoc on facebook (weird) and he was selling it! Struck a deal and home it came.

Nighthawk, premier edition, completely standard. 84k with one owner from brand new. No rust. No crunches. No smoke. A years ticket. Needs some tidying up but for the price i’m more than happy to take it on. Seemed too good to be true tbh and i’ve been waiting for it to go bang ever since but touch wood it feels solid as a rock. Apart from what i assume is some heatsheild rattling its t*ts off at about 1500 rpm.

Plans are standard honda owner stuff, induction kit and then deliver takeaways. Won’t be being touched until after winter as there’s not much point. Took one picture after it’s first and only clean so far.

Great cars albeit overrated by the Honda fanboys imo, especially in standard spec. Gearbox and driving position put Clio's to shame.

I agree. It doesn’t feel all that fast to me tbh, although it does feel like it gets into abit of its stride in 3rd, by which time your doing 80 so is abit pointless. Granted i knew of the lack of torque, but its really difficult to drive quickly unless your on an empty b road.

Nice one, had a two, ep3 and a fn2 ,loved em great cars. The only reason I don't have the latest one is i can't afford it!

With what I payed i’m kind of hoping I won’t lose any money give the spec history etc.

Good buy mate. They were really let down by the standard kit imo. Just in a 1*2 and the difference in stuff is a bit silly. Always felt basic.

In saying that... I love them. Always like them. Before I was company carred I would have bought the cosmic grey prem edition that was on sale 10 miles from me. Was actually quite excited to own one!

Half-shaft heat shield, extremely common. Just pull it off.

Driving position? Are you mental? The EP3's is on par with the 1*2, as in, :poo:.

Love them. But I've never bothered to own one, not sure I ever will now either. I think a mk3 clio with recaros for the same money is a nicer place to be personally.

There is just something about the EP3 that I like though. Think it just wants you to behave like a chav when driving it all the time. I kind of like that

Yeah there are no toys on it, but overall it feels much more like a ‘car’ than a 1*2 does. Not a single squeek or rattle from the interior which is amazing for its age really.

Gearbox really is a gem though. Steering hasn’t bothered me either as such although i’m yet to really drive it at 10 tenths.

Hahahaha, its probably because its been taken apart so many times and then put back together again better that Renault do.

I recently drove my cousins premier and enjoyed it although I hated the one I owned. Good cars if you can get them for a decent price. He's on about selling his for a new Corsa VXR though the fool.
They feel more solid that a 182 imo. If people really want to hear rattles, try a MCS. Worse than a f**king maraca

You don't realise how crap (high) the standard position is until you put some aftermarket seats in. It's still better than the clio but yeah, still high.

So the car got nicked a week ago sunday, not heard a thing since. When I initially phoned the police their response was, ‘if it turns up we will let you know’. So yeah, i guess it’s goodbye lol.

Shame. I enjoyed the one I had. Doubt you will be getting that back. Pinched with the keys?

Was up for sale. No viewing but one potential (seemed genuine) buyer had my postcode. Nicked without the keys, i think it got picked up onto a low loader if i’m honest.

Pretty annoyed as i’ll won’t get the money I could of for it. It was up for £3500 and i’d be lying if I said I had less than 40 messages in the space of two days for it.

It was insured for £3500 as thats what I paid. On AT/PH it is probably a 4k car, which i think is why so many people wanted it. I certainly can’t get Premier Edition on 84,000 miles for 3500 from what I can see so I just hope they play ball.

FFS, everything's getting nicked these days. Sometimes I'm glad my cars are pretty worthless.
