Goodridge braided hose failure

My OSF braided hose failed during an MOT today. Tester claimed he stamped hard on the pedal during brake test and then lost the pedal.

It looks like its failed on the joint at the calliper side.

Goodridge have been good about it and are getting me a replacement out ASAP, but I'm curious whether anyone else has seen a similar failure?

Not that I've ever heard of no, mine are 5 years old and on the odd occasion that I knock the dirt off them they look brand new again!

Failed as in the fitting rusted or the pipe split ?
