not sure if its just me here but it is ridiculously slow.

i have 1gig ram, 2.8ghz intel pentium duo and a 128mb nvidia graphics card so why is it so slow?

have to wait like 5 mins for anything to load up in detail.

What speed internet connection do you have?

It shouldn't be slow if you have a decent connection and pc, which you have.

It's quick and smooth for me on 2Mb.

You could increase your cache size in the google earth options, should make it quicker to look at things you've already looked at before.

ah rite. well we are supposedly on 8mb broadband with talk talk but it runs more like dialup majority of the time

there has to be a reason why it is like this. how far from your exchange are you. (go to www.dslzoneuk.net and broadband checker)

well this is the thing, we've never had 8mb but we were previously on tiscali and it was so much faster than this. and to think we thought that was slow lol.

lol ok i'm 1.08kms from my exchange. and adsl should be able to do 5.5Mbps or more :S

Try maps.live.local or whatever the address is, it's the Microsoft version and I think it's a lot better!

trying it now. virtual earth, thats whats on my N95. although it sounds like my internet connection is cacking things up for me

lol it doesnt seem like you are getting the benafits of the full connection or you are not making the most of what you can get. There are loads of different things involded such as internal wirring and so on. But the connection is deffo not helping!

we have 3 pcs running on a LAN and using the one connection so i can understand it not been brilliant but it used to be alot better with tiscali wired up exactly the same
