Got my Hayward and scott exhaust!

It sounds wonderful - ahhh!

The workmanship on the boxes is pure art, especially when i saw it next to my "old" exhaust! I was given the option of taking my standard exhaust away, but just left the 3month old blowing, rattly piece of shlt lying there.... good riddance.

My only problem is this:

When its cold, it sits central but when it heats up it twists to one side slightly (going ever so slightly) boss eyed. Its also been melting my bumper trim on one side.

Just needs adjusting like a hand made suit, i suppose. But the power release - and that noise make it all worthwhile! The drive home included the dartford tunnel and i got such a thrill, i almost did a wee.

Once i get some replacement pads etc for the PC, i'll spruce the car up a bit n post some pics and a sound file.

Thanks to everyone's patience while i was nagging for info.

Awsum. Toms/bubbles. is one of the nicest zorsts on here.

My old man had an H&S on his E-type. Stunning.

i know it doesn't fit properly - i'm THE fussiest b*stard and it will eventually bother me to the point when i will take it to the little old man i know for a half hour fettle; but just for now the relief of having got rid of that appauling standard exhaust more than makes up for the teething problems.

I can sit at lights without the cast of 'Stomp' rehearsing under me. God, it was embarrassing...

Same as me mate. I love pipes, but as they heat up they expand and have a tendancy to move. (watch them grow after a 10 minute journey!)Try and strengthen the exhausts mounts with extra rubber, it should tighten the fixing and stop it hitting the exhaust trim. Seems to have done the trick for me.

What pipes did you go for? I went for 3.5" slash cut (bought 2nd hand off here) Love the look and the sound. Tempted by a de-cat or sports cat next!!
