its like a dual boot, you use so many GB for the sony OS so nothing changes except for the amout of storage available to it and then you have the YDL separate.

I think its pretty good of SOny to provide this feature out of the box, you would never find MS doing anything like this.

when GTHD comes out it will probaby do a lot better than forza........

I sure hope so. Might get some more competitive prices for the 360 coming our way.

But for now, I don't think any racer I've seen can touch Forza2. Even though it's missing a s**t load of stuff, it's still as mint as mint can get.

360 is more about the community than anything. PS3's media solution does sound quite tastey. But it's a bit overkill for my needs (which is basically a way to play mp3's from my PC on my AV system in the next room).

'Home' will be good, but I hope they also put a 2d interface onto it as well as the 3d interface... It may get a bit frustrating walking slowly around when you just want to get to something specific, you'll be pushing people out of the way, lol!

true, although i'm not sure as they have plans for different rooms, and being able to play pool with people etc.

as you say though, it will be good to get a lower spec version to do things quickly because it will be fun for the first few times and then just get boring to have to walk to specific places without just going there.

another great feature i have just found is the upscaling ability of it now since the firmware upgrade, it really is very good.

I am playing a film which wasn't very good quality in the first place but on the PS3 it looks amazing, nearly HD quality.

I have to say I've never been a big fan of upscalers (I've got one on on my stand alone player) and while some look pretty good, there are discs that look too processed for me. Still its a good feature to have for free! Havnt yet seen the PS3 upscaler in action though...

Quick q for owners. Does the standard PS3 OS take video disks and copied dvds? I'll be putting one of the other operating systems on however im curious.
