GPS through Windscreen

I have just aquired a snooper s6 and i can get the damn thing to detect any satellites.

I know i have to postion the GPS receiver through that little clear window but it still dont work.

Anybody had any experience with such GPS devices?

I placed the GPS ariel for my Origin B2 near the normal place for the tax disc.

That was on a 172 Cup and I had no problems.

The cup doesnt have a solar reflecting screen thats why.

I had to put the Origin b2s gps receiver on the parcel shelf near the rear window

has ANYBODY managed to get the GPS working through the cutout in the windscreen?

My snooper S4 works fine and I get 4 signal bars thru the non reflective part of the screen..

i had that unit and did get it to work through that spot...not very well though.



In the end i located it at the edge of the parcel shelf and that worked better

My Garmin GPS reciever worked fine whether it was behind the reflective part of the screen or the non reflective part.

Remember on a cold boot it can take up to 5 minutes to find all the satalites and get a proper lock.

mines on the sill by the side window in the back and it works fine (B2) i think it says in the instructions that it wont work through a reflective windscreen

172 Exclusive: how did ya manage to make it work through the windscreen?

did you stick it to the dash or the windscreen itself?

also how about the the radar unit, is that effected by the windscreen?
