Graphics card - any good?

just wondering if this card was anygood

would have got a pci-e card but aint changing every thing:dapprove:

don't play games but would like it to do full screen winamp visualizations at above 4 fps

also looking at getting mce at some point

well that card is one of the top scoreing cards on futuremarks orb so ya aint gonna need anything more than that lol

A, Very doubtful, an X800Gt beating 7800GT's, GTX's, GTX 512's, X1800's - Erm I don't think so..
B, Do you want to run old Benchmarks all day or actually play games?

1.did i say anything about the x800 beating the 7800 range of cards.

2.benchmark is good way of comparing cards.

benchmarks are getting worse for comparing the newer cards only really start to come into there own now at 1600x1200 and above below that you wont notice much difference between the older and newer cards in a lot of things.

Or if your using lots of AA and AF.

As it stands though my CSS and HL2 looks absolutely amazing tried the 64bit version though and dont see any difference. But playable at 1600x1200 all details as high as they will go 4xAA and 16x AF. And its still getting over 60fps. (thats on a 7800gtx512)

Those ati cards are great though. WHat card are you currently using dink? cause winamp shoudl get more than 4fps even on a naff card. It worked brilliantly on my 9800 and my old geforce4.

it's a 9200 128Mb card iirc

running 1280x1024@32BPP with it on 100% and no pixel doubling

Well that explains that then.

To put it into simple terms the cards your trying out will have around 10 times the performance of the 9200. So it;ll easily handle anything you need without any problems at all.
