GRAW 2 (Out this week)

As I havent played GRAW I was wondering how this one will fare against the likes of Rainbow Six and Gears of War etc?

I think the first game was flawed in several aspects iirc?

Could owners of the first installment recommend this game and give a brief summary of how good/bad it is, and whether co-op gameplay with a friend is any good (much like Rainbow Six is)?

i liked it at the time but think that R6 is so much better, especially online.

I thought about getting this but think I will save my money for another PS3 game

The first was ok. I liked the first missions but later on they sucked.

The GRAW 2 demo was quite good but again it depends how all the missions are as you go through the game.

Its one of my all time favourite game series, its different to other shooting games, you have to be a lot more stealth but i guarantee it will be awesome! On that note, anyone know of any cheap pre-order sites?

choicesuk are the cheapest i have seen it, plus if you do a search there are plenty of voucher codes to get further discount.

GRAW2 blows GRAW away imo.

The graphics are far superior, the shadows and lighting effects really need to be seen to appreciate how good graphically this game is.

Your fellow squad members are much better in this one, something which i found annoying with GRAW.

The single player is quite short, but its excellant all the way through. Multiplayer co op missions are what bring this game alive once you finish the singleplayer campaign.

Ifyou liked GRAW then you must get GRAW2, if you liked the singleplayer on Rainbow 6 then you will like GRAW2 also.

Tried the demo's and GRAW 2 feels very clunky compared to the fluid motion of R6, I think I'll buy it anyway tho. Graphicly it does look good but great graphics dont always make a killer game. For me its all about the "feel" of it.

R6 is still my passion at the moment, Im one pubic hair away from being elite and Ive made some great friends while playing it online.

We should have a cliosport tournament or something there seems a lot of 360 fans on here

Apparently, Rainbow Six split screen co-op was too short, and me and my mate only play it once for 2 or so hours a week. We finished it last Thursday, and it took around 5 weeks or so. Will GRAW2 keep us occupied for a while do you think?? Thats all I'm aiming for. A bit of fun to play after our weekly Pro Evo 6 battle on PS2

Single player imho is too easy, even on the hard setting it didnt frustrate me like the hard setting on GRAW did in some places.

Still dont let that detract fro mthe game, its a brilliant game and the graphics are awesome.

As for co op - The missions are a lot harder than the single player ones and will take some time to crack. Theres 6 co op missions in total and the maps are huge

The best thing about R6 is PEC, Personal Elite Creation which allows you to totally customise your chracter, if you have a live vision camera you can take a front and side photo of your face and it maps it onto the character... you can do some funny stuff with that!
Also the more you play the more weapons and armour and cammo you unlock. You need to get your players rank up to unlock stuff.

I was talking to a mate last night and I dont know if this is true or not but apparently if you already have Rainbow 6 and Splintercell DA you get more items for your characters in GRAW 2.
Also get playing the multiplayer demo becuase apparently points you gain while playing the demo carry over to the full game....

I'm looking forward to giving it a good rinsing over the weekend. There's still a few achievements I want to get out of Crackdown though.

I thought Rainbow 6 was a better co op game, but GRAW was the better single player experience. The new additions to the HUD in GRAW 2 are really nice, and the frame rate has been improved upon nicely too.

may have to give this a try. is it alot more tactical than vegas? I liked the fact with vegas i could easily boss my teammates about, and not have to do much planning. Is this kinda the same?

Traded in Oblivion for this on Saturday, so it was only £25. Considering I hadnt played the first one, this one is pretty impressive! The shooting and kills dont seem to be in the same league as Rainbow Six, but its a different game, much more war like rather than terrorist. Enjoying it so far, but still only really on the first phase with the Mule :approve:

Yeah mate, well i havent played GRAW 2 yet but on GRAW you just paused in game and went to options, you can toggle it from there! Piece of Easyness!

Quick note though, i think it is harder as you cannot hide behind objects and shoot round them as easily.

Cool. Would you say its as good as Rainbow Six though, Lee? At the moment I'm doubting its ability to be better, but I agree its a great game (having only played on it for an hour or so). The sniper head shots etc on R6 were just so satisfying.

I think I'm prefering it to Rainbow 6, but that could be down to the locations. It gets better and better, the first level is short but sweet, the second is huge and takes hours to play.

Something to look forward to. The thing I liked about Rainbow Six was the ability to pick it up, get a machine gun and just go around shooting and ducking. The graphics were top notch, and the aiming system was superb. With this one, the aiming and shooting seems to be a little off compared to R6? I guess its dependent on what gun you're using at the time. Also, the kill factor was awesome on R6, like with blood splatter against the walls et al. I'm hoping this has the same sort of feeling deeper on in the game. Its possible to shoot enemies in the leg and injure them right, and blow out tyres?

Knows it Lee, I liked the bit where you start on the roof tops and have the rifle that can shoot round corners and you finally work your way down to the Grave Yard.

Loving it so far. havent really playe RB 6 yet
