grinding/rubbing noise from front when braking

hi everyone
just a little problem i've got that i need some ideas on a possble cause/solution....
i've got a 53 plate clio cup & i'm getting a grinding/rubbing noise from the front when braking!!!
i've checked the obvious worn brake pads but there only about 60% worn
any ideas as to whats causing this would be greatly appreciated...

are your pads and/or calipers loose or have play in them???

I've got a similar sound but its when I turn the wheel. Sounds like a creaking sound to me but I would also say its grinding.

Supposedly the lower suspension arm bearing or something.

Its booked in for Friday and I'll be damned if they don't fix it. Its been in four times for it before.
