Groan/Squeek from Brakes

  White 197
Can anyone tell me if all 197's do this when new.

At very low speed, say when just about to stop at traffic lights doing less than 5mph the brakes (I think it's the back) make a groan/squeek.

I had this once before on a Citroen C4 only when it was in reverse. The end result was that it was an early production car and the discs/pads were not compatible and had to be replaced.

Has anyone else had anything similar and did it go away after running in?

depends what you mean by groan to be honest. A squeek is perfectly normal, and can sometimes be sorted by loads of copper grease

could be incorrect fitment of pads, and adversely running against the rin or something?

Ok someone on pistonheads has said it was a known problem?
