as a few have said on the last couple of pages, ive only played Forza2 which was years ago now. never been on Forza3 and have preordered the GT series since i was just out of primary school (not me clearly, my father, lol).
as ive nothing to compare it to other than F1 2010 or the GT prologues, im going to facking love it. 4 day week for me next week, oh yes

As above, I've never played Forza and the last GT I properly played was GT2 I think, so this game is going to be awesome compared to my previous experience.
Got an email from Shopto confirming my order. Nothing about delivery but I guess the fact that I have now got a confirmed order instead of preorder means they have their stock in. Royal Mail 1st Class delivery so fingers crossed they want to guarantee it'll be here by Wednesday at the latest and post it on Monday.

They should have just left the 800 standards out and released them as premium cars as DLC later.

where did you see this? standards look nothing like that! all standards in GT4 where shot in full HP 1080p and down scaled to what the PS2 was able to handle. All standard cars have no interiors but still look very good just not as detailed. they do not have jaggies... even the background in that image is crap quality I very much doubt that's a gt5 screen unless taken with a crud camera

Got a voucher from Blockbusters yesterday which means i can pick this up for £32! Ill cancel my original pre order and grab that i think. Looking forward to it, i hope they've ironed out the bugs but i think most will agree if they've not managed that by now then they'll never be ironed out

Fixx I'm trying to make myself think its not GT5 at all.. sorry if I seemed Rude Turkish I've not been reading gtp from they announced the proper release date as to have some bit of fun when I open it etc. seen a picture in here and had to look so I maybe going on very old info!!
Tempted to buy it but I will never get it finished before Warcraft Cataclysm comes out.
Also put off by the usual fake ass screenshots. By fake I mean they are all heavily processed and look absolutely nothing like the game when you are playing it and yeah I have a good 1080p TV but this happens with every single GT game (or new console launch) and has become a bit of a Sony trademark now. I look at those shots and laugh because even my PC could barely run that in real time and lets be honest the PS3 is a bit of a LOL museum piece these days. I just don't see the point in misleading with those screenies.
I want to know if they have removed the grind-fest element of the single player game. Too much time repeatedly spamming races in crap cars to earn credits for better cars in all the previous games. The fact that I as a WoW player find the GT games too much of a grind fest speaks volumes...

Just been watching this for a bit. Looks good, engine noise from the SLS and Murcielago that I watched was nice. Damn tire squeal though...
Also damage doesn't seem to be available in Arcade mode, if that is the case then I wonder if it is online!
