  R35 GTR
For nobblebonce and anyone else who is interested, had a go at doing it today, and am really happy with the result of a colour coded grill.

will post pictures when it stops raining.

1) Start by removing the two black fasteners, on the left and right of the top part of the grill (not shown), i think its called the slam plate. The middle screw bit must be pulled out first, pry it out with a sharp instrument as using a screwdriver is useless. The fastener should come away easy enough after this.

2) For those with the alarm switch on the right, unplug it and remove, straight forward. Squeeze the three arms in and pull out.

3) Now start with the far right clip, push it down with a long implement. I used the screwdriver pictured but found the handle got in the way a bit. With pressure on the clip push the front of the grill in until released from clip.

4) Repeat with the other 3 to the left, but keep going back to previous ones and pushing grill out a bit.

I found that the plastic could be bent quite a lot, but be careful and don’t lose your temper. It worked for me and I won’t be liable for any mistakes.

5) Repeat process on the left side, but there is a air scoop of some sort there. Remove the top two clips from this to allow access to the clips on the grill.

6) Once all 8 of the side clips are released, work on the two middle ones. These were the easiest to do.

7) At the bottom of the grill is a channel that holds some tubing, I think it’s for the head light washer jets if you have them. This tube clips on in 4 places, 2 on each side of the middle.

8) Try to carefully remove the rest of the scoop thing on the left to allow grill to be removed a little easier.

9) All up to common sense and taking it slow and easy, now remove the grill.

Took me around 2 hours, but I hadnt got a clue where to start, I hope this guide makes it easier for you.
My car is a 172mk2 this method may apply to other cars too.
